Hey everyone, I'm looking for outings to do with dd2.5, while we were in another city we often went to a park with a sandbox, and now that we're back home she's constantly asking to go 'digging' but I've yet to come across a sandbox at any of the parks we've been at...

Am I out of luck?

Not a sand box as such but iirc there is a sandy park atr the barrage.

Depends where you coming from. Do you know the oyster catcher pub?close to penarth. Drive past there towards the boats/yachts, keep going up and there is a car park at the tip of the road. I think its about 50p to park and you can walk alonmg the barrage right down to the park.

There is a sandy park at Newbridge fields behind Bridgend Recreation Centre if you get desperate? (I know it's quite out of your way)

Thanks. We'll try it next time it's decent out :)

I second the sandy park at the barrage. Tis lovely. Grin well once all the big kids are in school and aren't throwing the sand around, Angry but that's a whole other story.

Yeah Bridgend bit far, but it could be a special treat :)
