I've just registered with partick dental practice (opposite the library), they all seem lovely and there isn't really long waiting times. You have to put down a deposit though (mines was £20) incase you miss an appointment.

There's one on Great Western Road, right opposite Solly's (you know, the Afro-Carribean fruit shop) with a big banner saying 'taking NHS patients now' or summat.
I can't remember the name of the practice, but I'll be driving past it tomorrow and can let you know if you are still on the look-out.

Hope you are well, giraffes Smile.

The one on Douglas Street in the centre of town is really good, Tel 248 6631. We see Stuart McCarte and he's great - dh hates dentists and had avoided them for years, so by the time he went back, he had so much work needing doing (mostly root canal treatment) that the dentist had to get special permission from the Health Board Shock

He developed so much confidence in the dentist that he let him do the last piece of work without anaesthetic, as he was assured that the nerve was totally dead so all he's feel was a bit of tugging and probing - but no pain. And he was fine :)

I recommended them to another MNer and I think they see one of the others and they are equally happy.

Lansdowne Dental, if you are still looking. They have a website too.
Sorry, I know nothing about them, just saw their banner.

Good luck.

I use Craig & Craig on Argyle Street (your end).

Mrs Craig is really lovely and specialises in nervous patients. They did stop taking on new NHS for a while but I didn't notice the sign up when I was there last week.

I'm just going to second Partick dentist, they are fab, also if ur not pregnant they do sedation on the nhs, which for me was life changing as I was petrified of the dentist! Can't recommend them enough!

Good one up at Anniesland Cross...bright smile or something it's called, almost under the railway bridge.
