Fireworks at Verulamium Park

Has anyone been to the firework display there? We were at the park last weekend and saw they are doing a big display.

I'm just not sure about the parking though. I'm sure the car parks will be full pretty quickly - is there anywhere else to park? And does anyone know in which bit of the park the firework display will be?

Yes i go every year, they do it on the lake they close off the side that has the river running along it and people stand around the lake and up on the hills, and it is fabulous, its always late although i noticed this year it said on the posters it would be a prompt start, ha ha

People park mostly there, at sainsburys or in that area, and walk across or up on the waitrose estate and walk down. We park at waitrose or near it at least, or you could park in town and walk down.

Not sure on the prices, but if you've seen a poster you'll know.

I love Guy Fawkes Night in St albans, last year we had a bench right in front and it was amazing, best fireworks ever
