I grew up in Lewes and remember when I was small going to the junior parade along South Street (in the 70s). I live elsewhere now, but will be back visiting family over Bonfire night this year and would like my 4yo DS to experience Lewes Bonfire night - except that this year it is on a Saturday and I understand from my parents that it's not the same as it used to be (ie loads more people, police, barriers etc). Anyone got recent experience of kids parades in Lewes on Bonfire night? What would they recommend? Would it be a stupid idea?
