Anyone with children at the Free School?

We're getting ready to submit our son's application for primary school---considering the Free School as one of our choices. Does anyone have any first-hand experience with it?

not first hand, but friend with one of the governors. It sounds like a great school ethos, but places are going to be limited next year and if you're not in one of the priority groups my understanding is that you'll be in a lottery against a wide catchment.

Any idea what is considered a "priority group" with regards to admissions? We live within a stone's throw of the city centre...but it appears that the actual catchment is massive.

children with statements or in foster care first I think, then siblings - but talk to the office - they'll be happy to help
