Woking Primary Schools

We are moving to the area soon and need some advice on primary schools. The good, the bad, the ugly etc. Any would be much appreciated! I would be looking for a place in reception next September.

I am not exactly an expert but I know a lot of people want their children to go to Goldsworth School. However you need to live almost on their doorstep (or have a child already there) in order for your child to get in!
I am filling in preferences at the moment and wondered if anyone had any views on Westfield School vs Barnsbury School.

hi

I was brought up in Woking and went to Barnsbury First and Middle schools as did my brothers. Obviously It was many years ago as I am in my 30's now but it was a great school for us back then with like minded classmates and a good all round education.

After Barnsbury children went to either Winston Churchill, Bishop David Brown or St John the Baptist. I went to a C of E school in Guildford, Bishop Reindorp, which is no longer and has been replaced by Christ College Guildford.

I know a few of the schools there, from about 5 years ago, barns bury is meant to be a v good school not sure about westfield though. goldsworth park is a popular school there are 2 there one is v good one not so good. I hear the best school is The Oak school in st johns, fantastic school & always everyones first choice.

If you are Catholic then make sure you get into a Catholic feeder school for SJB.
