Pram/Stroller shops in Edinburgh

Hi there
I'm looking for popular stroller/pram shops in Edinburgh - not online shopping, actual shops you can go into and ask for advice.
Any suggestions? Anywhere in Edinburgh is fine!
Thanks.

There is one in Corstorphine but I think it's a bit pricey.

John Lewis?

I think there's one in Leith on Junction Street. Corstorphine Pram centre is ok but it lacks something. Mothercare have prams and buggies. John Lewis.

My favourite one was the musselburgh one which was in Dalry as they were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble. But sadly it's no longer there.

I found the service in the Corstorphine pram centre great. The range is much better than I expected and they know their stuff. Lots of people have told me they've ft really pressurised into spending in John Lewis.

I like the Leith pram centre - they fixed up my ancient maclaren so I will always love them!

Leith pram centre is great, and i'm sure you can pay your deposit and pay it up, corstorphine one is ok too.

Thanks ladies, very helpful!
Anyone know of any smaller centrally located ones?

The most central place is John Lewis. At least you can get an idea of what style you might like and they offer a 'see how it fits into your car boot' service which is helpful if your storage space is small. The icandy for instance has quite a wide frame and didn't fit in ours.

The Corstorphine shop has loads of prams and is on the high street so it's very easy to get to by bus if transport is your concern.

I agree that the others eg Mothercare at Fort Kinnaird and Hermiston Gait are nowhere near the centre but have a good selection. I think it's a real shame there isn't a branch in the centre.

There's a wee lane behind the Corstorphine one they get you to bring your car into to check the pram in the boot and also fit your car seat for you there.

Worth a visit is the Glasgow Pram Centre. We've gone by train and walked it before and we've driven, but if you cannot find what you want there, you're being too fussy was the comment to me by my friend over my cot.

Also Mamas & Papas at Craigleith Shopping Centre - obviously they only stock M&P stuff.

Great help, thanks so much!

We had shockingly bad service from the Glasgow Pram Centre. Personally, I'd never buy anything from them again if they didn't have it in stock although it has a great range if you just want to look at stuff and order elsewhere.
