I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with The Montessori Place in Hove? I'm going to give them a call next week to ask if we can have a look around. Has anyone seen it yet? What are your thoughts?
Tbh I'm really excited about this school, it seems the only downside is the fee Hmm
Thanks

Hi,

I had a look around and it seemed impressive. The fee was steep and you couldn't choose your days. Still interested but it seems that the website no longer exists. Did you have any luck contacting them?

A friend's DD started in October (she's 3). They loved the "feel" of it, and when I met them a few weeks ago, early impressions were good. Having said that, I think there are lots of cheaper (free!) options in B&H that are just as impressive (if less showy!).

Hi,

I managed to have a guided visit, and I feel it could be the perfect place for my son (age 3,5). I've just checked again and the website is still up, www.themontessoriplace.org.uk.
Jollster: I know what they mean, i did love the feel of it, too. As you said, there are free state schools around (Westhove, Connaught, Davigdor) but they seem to me to overcrowded and soulless. Which ones you've been thinking of?

I don't know much about the Hove side of town re schools, I'm in Hanover. But a close friend has her son at Goldstone pre-school and loves it, and is hoping for a place at reception in 2012, and I know the deputy head at Hangleton and she's outstanding . Can't comment on the ones you name I'm afraid.
Have you been on the open day tour (like me!)?
