Hi there, I work at the university of Manchester and my sons attend (and love) Dryden St nursery which has been run successfully as a non-profit making subsidiary of the Uni for 17 years. However the Uni senior management has decided in the last couple of months - without consulting any parents - to put it out for private tender.... so basically selling off our children's welfare to the lowest bidder. They are forcing through this decision at an alarming speed and we are trying our best to stop them and save this precious resource for staff and students.
