Hi. I have recently moved from Kent to Bedfordshire (after my divorce last year) and have a 3 year old boy. I go to a couple of toddler groups with him but have never met any other single mums in my village and the next one. I knew one in Kent but we had very little in common due to age and circumstances etc but I'm hoping there may be a kindred spirit in this area! I'm a 38 yr old graduate and am starting to job-hunt again for part-time teaching work. Most of the time, it's irrelevant being a single parent when making friends with married mums but understandably, it's hard to comprehend what life is like when you don't have the safety net and flexibility of having a husband around! Would love to hear from you if you're in a similar situation.
