Hi

I've got a 21mth old son and am looking to get him involved in a toddler group or something fun for him to do. We don't have much time as I have to fit the school run in during the day and we're busy Wed morning so am looking for something to take him to on other days to give him a "social" life so if anyone has any suggestions I'd be glad to hear of them please

The Millennium Library has a toddler storytime on Thursday mornings at 10:30.

If you're near a SureStart centre, they run some fun "messy play" or stay and play sessions for children up to age 5. I live relatively close to the City & Eaton SureStart centre and they have play times on Mondays and Fridays (I think...) The East city centre does things like Tots Tea, etc. Check online for the schedules.

I second what 4madboys said, the just off Ipswich Road toddler group is lovely. The woman who runs it is brilliantly organised, yet not at all pushy, and the other mums are really friendly. I don't go as often as I'd like (because DD is a tyrant and is permanently intent on breaking my spirit), but it's a great place to go. And the toys are clean, unlike certain other toddler groups...

And now I'm pondering which lovely mum 4madboys is/was....
