Restaurant Sidmouth

Can anyone recommend a good restaurant in Sidmouth for a family lunch - there would be about 10 of us. Thanks.

Actually in Sidmouth or outside?

Ideally in Sidmouth - unless there is somewhere really good outside. We would like to go to the beach afterwards.

Do you want formal or informal?

Informal - it's for my DD's first birthday, so somewhere relaxed and accommodating for small children, but good quality food.

I'm just asking my friend who lives in Sidmouth and has encyclopaedic knowledge of all the eateries there...

My friend and I both think Duke's should be fine. It's kind of a pub but a bit trendier and do decent food and is down near the sea front.
