Can anyone recommend a good plumber?

We have just returned from a house swap and our mixer tap is broken, but I don't know any plumbers so would have to pay a huge call out fee. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Carlisle's 337-7521 are pretty reasonable. They will do free estimates.

Thanks Groovee - DH is going to have a go at fixing it himself but we aren't holding out too much hope and he has now commandeered my shower so it ain't going to be pretty next week when I'm back at work and we both want to shower at the same time

Humph re Carlisles. They quoted us £450 to fix a boiler about 10yrs ago.

DH did it himself. The part cost a fiver!!!! Shock

10 years ago is a long time Mawbroon. Scottish Gas quoted us £795 plus VAT to move a gas pipe. Carlisle's did it for £40 plus VAT. That was a couple of months ago. Dunno what SG must do for that money.
