Mum's of older children

My partner and I are finding it hard living with my 20 year old son who is moody, unhelpful and won't look for a job. He just wants to sit on the internet all night (he's asleep during the day). It is causing my partner and I to fight. Does anyone have the same problems and want to talk about it?

Yes i can share a similar situation. My daughter is 20 yrs and taking 4 months off university / nursing course. Seh broke her foot in April and has been off ever since. She is mostly at the boyfriends, but now has split up with him so it looks like she is home now till Oct 31st . She has been deferred and put back into the nursing group behind her. I fear she wont go bak at all. She does nothing around the house. She stays up late, gets up late 11.30am and expects me to pay for most of her her food, bills. She gave me £6 yesterday in Tescos, (first time since April)
She pays no rent and her dad , (my ex) gives her £450 a month. gggrrhh !
She has no job, well she did hand out some promotion tickets last week for 3 nights. She has lost her 4th set of keys, and her bedroom looks like a bomb has gone off... She could clothe most of East Africa.....

Sorry I haven't posted. I have been away for a few days. Its so good knowing that I'm not alone. I have stopped all money hoping that it will motivate him but nothing. I have found several jobs for him to apply for but he just won't. How do you find sanity? I know we can't do it for them but I'm so frustrated. What do you do to keep calm?

... my small moment of calmness is after she has gone off to stay with the boyfriend again..... she is always running late and races out in a terrible hurry to catch the train, slamming the front door and leaving her room in a horrible mess....girls!! huh!

Ha ha, boys are just as bad - in fact they don't wash so the smell is vile! I am on holiday from work and am looking forward to going back next Monday. Although we did get 48 hours of respite when he went to Manchester for the weekend to see his girlfriend but that was the last of his money so I don't know when he'll go again. Is it really bad to wish him out of the house? I have started running and the half hour I get outside is pure bliss. At least there is light at the end of the tunnel for you - is she still going back to Uni?

I am not sure ... I think that she has decided not to go back....AAAgghh!!
