We are about to move to Harpenden. Can anyone recommend a good, reliable GP surgery?

Another endorsement for Davenport House. We've been with them since we moved here, and whenever we've needed them (for minor jabs etc. through to more serious long term things) they've been excellent.

I go to the Village Surgery. Its not bad, male doctors listen a bit more than the female ones for issues that arent lady related. But really has terrible receptionists. It doesnt matter how nice I try to be very time I go in they are very snappy.

The Village Surgery in Wheathampstead has quite nice receptions. Same doctors as the one in Harpenden.

The Elms in Harpenden is great if you are that side of the railwayline. and it has lovely receptionists, and nice nurses who are great with kids

I know this is a bit late but in case anyone else is looking...
I (and many of my friends who've lived in Harpenden for many years) have had bad experiences at Davenport House and I would highly recommend The Elms, although there is usually a wait as it is really popular. It is clean and the doctors are thorough, unlike the afore mentioned!

Hi. Genuine question, promise. But was surprised that so many people had negative views of Davenport House. We're TTC at the moment, so no experience of what they're like for families, but DH and I have been impressed.

Is there something we should be aware of?
