Beach in Twickenham

The council have created an artificial beach at Champions Wharf, open until 7th August. There will be play rangers there some of the time organising children's activities. A bit more info here

We were there yesterday morning and dd (2) had a whale of a time. Lots of sand, spade, buckets and shells but not much sign of organised activities while we were there. Not huge and it was getting quite busy by the time we left (11.15am or so).

we went one lunchtime and it was fairly quiet as everyone seemed to be leaving as we arrived (am sure it wasn't personal...!) so that might be a good time to go. Kids adored it and easy to park in town hall car park.

good tip about town hall car park. We were rained off today but will try again tomorrow if the weather is fine.
