Hairdresser for DS3 in Gosforth / Jesmond?

Staying here for a week, DS bless him, can't see through his fringe and I don't dare go at his hair with scissors...any hairdresser/barber suggestions?
(Am trying to grow his hair in a longish surfy style cos it's so lovely, straight and glossy)

Little barbers on gosforth high street does a good job. Depending on how old he is they have a DVD player and fireman sam to distract!
