Pubs with food in Oldham?

Coming up to see my mum at weekend, and we always end up at the same restaurants for food. Usually curry, or a chinese.

DH fancies somewhere more English traditional, with a pint of decent ale. Maybe around Saddleworth or Ashton? DS is 10 but no particular need for a childrens' menu.

Where would you go?

Ive been on holiday so missed your post theres lots of restaurants in oldham......this one seems good here I havent been but my friend went with her 4 children and had a lovely meal.

We ended up at a chinese in Manchester. Ho hum.

I think I posted in the wrong place. Maybe I should have ventured into AIBU. "AIBU.... to want to find some decent food in a northern town" and see if I get any response.

Lol any other time and id have found anything out for you - if you need to know anything in the future feel free to message me - even if its to find out a good repairman or something for your mum.
