Moving to Shoreham-by-sea

Hi/hello all :o, I'm moving to Shoreham-by-seeeea mid July. I have a 2 yo DD and 4 yo DS who is due to start primary in Sept (but that's another story). i work PT and know quite a few people in Brighton/Hove but nobody in Shoreham. Can anyone advise me where to go with little people and if there are any Shoreham meet ups planned. Would be great to tag along! Thanks!

Hi MABS, thanks, that's good to know. It's a bit weird moving to a new place, I might find myself crippled with crap conversation due to nerves. What's the set up usually for the Brighton meets? Do you meet in a park, play group, for a coffee, someone's home, beach? Thanks!

Hiya sweetie, ask away! we actually meet up without children (well,sometimes there are small babies) at lunchtimes on a Sat in Brighton. Next one is 30 July at 1.30. I can't do links but if you look in 'meet up' topic you will see the Brighton one listed.

We are a friendly bunch, some know each other, most don't, we always welcome new mums along so you would be fine . (I go on hols tonight, so if you post and I don't reply i am not ignoring you)

Thanks MABS & hi Thornrose. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply - moving house... Living out of boxes! Currently trying to keep DS fever down, he's picked up a horrid sickness bug. Boo. Anyway, I'll check details & sicky little ones notwithstanding - will try my hardest to make Brighton meet:-)

no probs, it's called Brighton-when is next meet up in Meet u[s section. but basically it is at All Bar One (used to be ha ha) at 1.30 Saturday.

We're moving to shoreham/southwick from Surrey in December. I have a 4 and 5 year old and am really nervous as ill be leaving my part time job, starting the kids at a new school and will have no friends. Where are the best places to go to meet people? I love shoreham but I'm just so nervous about meeting new people. I think the kids are going to st nicolas and st Mary c of e school. So excited about being by the sea though. Are there any meet ups in the new year? Xxx
