Hi I am first time mum - 18 weeks pregnant - with long standing back condition

Just wondered what you mums out there can recommend in terms of all the baby equipment when the mum has a bad back - eg prams, cots, car seats, nursing chairs etc. suggestions for makes/ designs would be great

Most important thing to watch is putting your baby in and out of the car into the car seat. Get other people to do it as much as you can!

I don't know what is the best type of nursing pillow these days but they are definitely helpful if you have a bad back. Also you may want to put a pillow behind you for some support.

I used a 'hippy chick' for a while when I had a toddler and I found that quite helpful.

There is a shop at the bottom of park street who specialises in stuff like this, i have seen a cot and a pushchair and a highchair in the window. i would go int here and see what they have to recommend.
