Anyone else going mad trying to get Book Festival tickets?

I am currently on hold for the box office, spent ages trying to get the tickets into my basket and now can't pay for them, several time out screens and now apparently I have a pending payment (but according to the very helpful lady I spoke to this may get rejected by the bank if it takes too long). I have no idea whether I have any tickets or am going to end up with 6 sets of the bloody things.

I got some earlier - I had absolutely zero luck even getting tickets into the basket online but managed to get through on the phone. I think I was on hold for about an hour. If you end up with doubles you should be able to return them if it's for something that's sold out I think? Good luck!

I have given up for today, have tried the phone and online and all I have to show for it is a simmering rage..

My fingers are starting to go numb holding the phone.....I have been told if I get multiples they'll refund them. Not sure if I will actually get the tickets though, trying to book Julia Donaldson which I imagine is hugely popular.

An hour!! I can't even get through to be one of the lucky 100 who are allowed to be on hold.

I'm trying to book tickets for my dad, the author (I'm hoping) is a bit obscure so am hoping I'll get some tomorrow.

I got through to the box office Grin who confirmed no transactions had gone through and that there were still tickets available for the events I wanted. Think this has been the worst year yet for ticket booking, but as I have selflessly devoted hours of my Sunday to sorting this out think DH now owes me...

There was a good hour of calling before I got in the queue though. I nearly dropped the phone when the woman answered!

Hope everyone gets the tickets they were after!

I spent four and a half hours on my laptop and 53 minutes on hold. Got all children's tickets but was so excited forgot to get MY tickets! Lost will to live!
