Edinburgh academy and George heriots

I have my sons name down for both of these schools.
He will start EA august 2012 in the willow nursery room as George heriots don't accept children till pre school age which is about 4 1/2 so his name is down for AUgust 2014.
Would love to hear opinions or personal experiences with either of these schools, or even if you have a child starting around the same time thank you :)

Have no recent experience am afraid but I went to Heriots from nursery to 6th year and absolutely loved it! It has such a lovely friendly feel about it and all the teachers know the kids names which is lovely. When I was there the teachers really took interest in the kids and they remember them...I bumped into my primary 1 teacher (were going back to about 1986!) a while ago and she remembered me and was asking about my best friend and other family members! I remember going on lots of school trips in both primary and secondary school and they also have excellent after school activities in sports/music/drama/stamp collecting/bird watching...you name it there's a club! We started saving before our wee one was born and are hoping to send him there for senior school. Just hope he gets in as I believe its really really competitive. Good Luck

Hi, not heard back but I went to the open day and I loved it.nat the moment my son is I. A Montessori nursery which I love but unfortunately is too far away for me to travel. My son received his acceptance letter a couple of weeks ago for EA and we can't wait.
