Rightyo ladies.

Let's get this sorted.

At the moment only Tuesdays and Thursdays are good for me, so how about the 30th?

It was suggested on another thread that we could meet at the LIfe Craft studio on the Great Western Road? Or if there was more wild preschoolers and the weather was reasonable how about The People's Palace?

Any thoughts?

Weegiemum - absolutely come along!

Geordieminx · 23/06/2011 16:59

What time would be best?

Fooouuuuund you!! Grin.

I'll be at work next Thursday Sad, but as of 1/7 my Thursday are mine, all mine Grin.

Next time. I'd have to come with all 4 DSs anyway - might just destroy Lifecraft...

Anyway, have fun. Last meet-up I could not come to, cake was eaten on my behalf - please do that again Smile.

Blottedcopybook · 23/06/2011 22:46

I have 4 DCs, there's not much the shop hasn't already witnessed :))

As for time, it would be marginally easier if you could come after 12.30ish as the messy play with Busy Bees Craft Studio will be finished by then. If I can get an idea of how old your kids are, I'll have some fun stuff organised for them to do so we can actually get a cuppa while it's hot.

PS. Note to the wise, I have Pimms hidden under the counter...

PacificDogwood · 23/06/2011 23:02

Blotted, that sounds just phantastic - now I am even more disappointed I won't be able to join you all next week.

Can we pop in some other day?? All of us? (DSs 8, 7 and 3, DS4 aged 15 months tends to only eat paint/glue/glitter Grin)

Geordieminx · 24/06/2011 08:05

That works for us. Ds is 4.

PDW, I have it on good authority that M is settling in well! C has mentioned him a few times, all of it good!

Blottedcopybook · 24/06/2011 17:13

Of course! There's always pens/pencils/crayons available (you might need to ask for them as sometimes we hide them if we have particularly throwy kids in!) or we also have paint your own ceramics too :) There's a reasonable collection of toys as well, megabloks & a trainset etc etc

prettybird · 24/06/2011 17:53

So how do I sell it it to a 10 year od, in case my ds has to come? (dh has an interview that afternoon but I'll see if I can organise for him to go to a friend's place)

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 24/06/2011 18:01

I'd better stay off the Pimms - I have my group therapy at 4.30, and I suspect turning up tiddly would be frowned upon. Grin

Blottedcopybook · 26/06/2011 22:45

Prettybird my 10yo DS will probably be there, he quite enjoys the ceramics painting and I'm sure he'd be happy to have a friend to chat to?

SDTG - isn't alcohol pretty much a requirement before group therapy?

LeaveYourDignityAtTheDoor · 28/06/2011 01:13

Ooh meetup!

Is there space for a little(!) one?

Was at the last meetup (1 with the cuddly baby) and would love to do it again.

Blottedcopybook · 28/06/2011 11:10

Always space :)

LeaveYourDignityAtTheDoor · 28/06/2011 22:59

Is the date still the 30th?

giraffesCantZumba · 28/06/2011 23:07

Im tired and on strong pain killers can someone recap for me in an idiot proof way when the meet is/if it has passed. Off to bed before the room spins!

Blottedcopybook · 29/06/2011 09:41

The meet is tomorrow, 30th June from 12.30pm(ish) at The Life Craft on Great Western Road. If you're driving, best bet is to park on Queen Margaret Drive and walk round :)

Blottedcopybook · 30/06/2011 18:04

I'm home and recovering after throwing my girls at not-so-DH. StayingDavidTennantsGirl and I have decided that next meetup should be at a childfree licensed establishment, all those in favour say HELL YEAH.

Geordieminx · 30/06/2011 20:11

Thanks so much for hosting today, C and I had a lovely time.... Cake was divine!

Yes yes to licensed establishment. Cafe Andaluz for tapas and sangria?

prettybird · 30/06/2011 20:17

Alcohol and childfree sounds good :) I've never had to be escorted back from a boozy Mumsnet Christmas meet-up over in Edinburgh. Not me Blush

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 30/06/2011 22:58

HELL YEAH!!! Tapas and sangria sounds lovely.

And thank you for hosting today - I had a lovely time (what could be better than gossip, nice things to drink, crafts and cake - even though I forgot to have any cake). I was awfully tempted to paint a piggybank, and may well have to sneak back sometime and have a go! Though it won't be anywhere near as good as the things I saw there today.

I will talk sweetly to dh and see if he will drive me to the booze meet-up and collect me afterwards.

StayingDavidTennantsGirl · 30/06/2011 22:58

And it was lovely to meet you again, Prettybird and Geordieminx (and the lovely C too).

Blottedcopybook · 30/06/2011 23:09

Thank you all for being so kind, I was ready to strangle my girls by the time I ran off but five minutes in the car and they were both conked out. It was lovely to meet you all though.

I'm a big fan of Cafe Andaluz, shall we get the diaries out now?

LeaveYourDignityAtTheDoor · 01/07/2011 01:32

Couldn't make today's meet but it sounds as though it went well.

Will definitely try make the next one.

prettybird · 01/07/2011 10:30

Blottedcopybook - have done the first full cable pattern. Had forgotten how easy cable is (even though it looks impressive).

Blottedcopybook · 01/07/2011 12:26

Well done! It's a gorgeous pattern, I'm embarrassed that I haven't knit it up yet. Can't wait to see photos once you're done.

irnbrukid · 06/07/2011 05:35
