Inset days

I hate inset days. After six weeks summer holidays, the term starts with two inset days. At Easter we had two inset days outside of the two weeks holiday. It's ridiculous! Plus, there are no childcare facilities offered for inset days. A nighmare for working parents.

Inset days are used for teacher training, first aid, child protection, etc etc. Most schools try to inconvenience parents as little as possible by placing the inset days at beginnings and ends of terms and half terms.
