Hi everyone,
I started a thread on here nearly 18 months ago, after my second child was born, suggesting the idea of a book group we could go to with our babies. I wanted to enjoy a bit of grown up conversation and escape the chat about nappies and sleep patterns, at least for a while.
Anyway, the book group has now been running for more than a year. It's been a success but of course lots of the original mums are now back at work. We'd love it if anyone new would like to come along!
The group now meets 1-2pm on the second Friday of the month (though in June it is the third Friday) at The Sage Gateshead. The Sage has baby changing facilities, parking on-site and plenty of room for buggies. It's a very informal group and nobody bats an eyelid if your baby cries, fusses or steals all the toys. We've all been there!
The details for next month are:
Friday 17th June, 1pm
The Sage Gateshead (level 2, by Hall One bar area)
Discussing: The Great Gatsby by F Scott Fitzgerald

If you'd like to join us, you can email the coordinator [email protected] or just turn up on the day. Look forward to seeing you there!
