Smart Tots / Child First in Banbury

Does anyone have any experience of either of these nurseries in Banbury? I'm looking for somewhere for 2.3 month old for September, and have visited both of these but can't decide.

I liked the way the staff at Smart Tots interacted with the children but the rooms seemed a bit 'poky'.

The accomodation at Child First was more spacious, but I didn't feel like I 'clicked' with the staff as much (but this was just a feeling, nothing concrete to back this up!)

Any advice would be appreciated!! Thank you.

I'm not really sure about either of these nurseries now, any info I had was a while ago - but I will ask around and post back.

Thank you Prisoner, that's really kind of you. Just can't make up my mind, and as I've looked round them twice already I feel like it would be a bit excessive to go back for a third visit!!

I can't really help at all Sad - I have been asking around at various groups I attend, and the only info I was given was "a friend of a friend" sends her child to Child First and is happy with it.

As I said, comments made to me in the past have not been particularly favourable about either (which was fine by me, as a childminder, but not too helpful to parents, sorry!)

The nursery at the Horton Hospital is always well-thought of, and people told me that the nursery at the College (Hobby Horse?) is nice too.

Thanks for trying anyway.

TBH we didn't think twice about the nursery he goes to at the moment - it was just on the site of my work so it was convenient. But he has been so happy there that it has made me concerned about wanting to make sure that his next one is as successful (he is only moving because I'm changing jobs).

I think I'll have to have another look at them both (they'll LOVE me! Grin) and go with gut instinct. Rang the Horton one to make an appointment to visit and was told that they were far too busy that afternoon (!) which i didn't think was a great response, but maybe I should consider that again.

Thank you!
