Local lone parents

Hiya I would like to meet some local parents with a view to organising meet-ups/activites at the times my coupled friends seem to be busy- mainly the weekends and school holidays. I really son't like taking dc out for the day even if it's to a big park without any adult company, and I'm sure I'm not the only one out there

Hi someday, sorry, I'm a coupley parent, but there are quite a few lone parents in Bristol who post on MN, there are a couple that coem to a regular meet up on Friday morning if you'd like to join us?

Hi Humphrey, thank you for your reply. I didn't mean to sound exclusive and I am aware there maybe others alone in 'unsociable' hours due to a partner's work commitments.

Is the meet up for parents of any aged dc? Am lucky that both of mine are in school on a Friday :o

It seems that suddenly everyone wants to meet for coffee! Which is good as we've all run out of things to say to each other.

We meet on average every other Friday at the moment and seem to be arranging it via facebook. If you PM me your RL name I'll add you. Quite a few of us are or have been single parents but we feel sorry for the coupley ones and let them join us , isn't that right Humphrey?

Can I join too! I am an LP who has recently moved to Briz. Lots of bank hols have meant a few marathon days at large parks, on my own so would love to meet other people to go with.
