Hello, I'm just back from a reccy round Bristol, as we are planning on moving here over the next few months. I need motorway access, train access and to be able to get into Bristol centre, whilst DH needs to get to Filton. And I have two pre-schoolers, and my eldest will start school in Sept 2012 - so the tricky issue of primary catchment comes into play.
We like the look of both Hambrook and Frenchay. But there's only so much you can tell from driving and walking around.
Anyone know it, what do you like about it, what's not so good? I'd like to be somewhere with a bit of a community feel, and with other families around. And any inside information on Frenchay and Hambrook primary schools? Frenchay in particular is really small, only 20 PAN, which I'm unsure about, so I'm interested in how that works in practice.
