Primary schools

Do we really find out about primary school admissions today (1st May), even though it's a Sunday? Getting a bit jittery.

That'll be a yes, then. Email received now. How did it go for everyone?

Didn't get in to schools near our new house as we moved after 15th Jan.

I could cry.

Hope everyone else fared better than we did!

We got our 3rd option, which to be fair is our catchment school. I didn't really like it when we visited, but it has a good reputation. What it doesn't have, though, is an afterschool club or a nursery for DS2 anywhere nearby. [Watches dregs of career ambitions disappearing down plughole.)

umf, move out to our villge, lovely school, playgroup then nursery before reception.

oh should add though that as of this month we have no evening bus service or sunday service AARRGGHH

Looks lovely! What's the secondary like?

secondary is a solid middle of the road school not outstanding or a shining light but not bad either.
It doesn't ahve a 6th form so they would go to long or Hills road

I like the fact that they have to get experience out of the village for 6th form otherwise they may be very unworldly!
