Mums who are bereaved?

Hello, I was wondering if there are any other mums in the Leeds area who have lost their mum or dad and whether anyone would be interested in meeting for a cup of tea and a chat with other mums in a similar situation?

My mum died in November, when my daughter was 4 months old. While I feel ok now, the last nine months have been full of joy at my new little girl but incredible sadness that my mum is not here to share this. I wondered if other mums have had, or are having, similar experiences and whether sharing these experiences would help us a little.

Thank you
Samantha

May be adding complication but I would be interested in meeting up if there were parents who have previously lost a child.

I have one son, nearly 8 yrs, a daughter 7 months and lost a baby when she was 15 months.

Hi Samantha, I lost my mum when I was a child, so slightly different from you, but yes I have really felt it since I got pregant and my son was born. I have so many questions I would have liked to ask her and it's just not the same asking my dad.

Where abouts in Leeds are you? I'm in LS17.

Nowittyname, so sorry for your loss.

X

And sorry for yours too. I'm also in LS17. (Not that those two form a natural link!)

I am in LS4 (Burley), thank you both for replying and I am so sorry to hear your experiences. You are right that there are so many questions and memories, it feels very strange at times x
