Any southside/glasgow mums interested in meeting up?

Hi,
Have seen the meet-up posts here but never seem to be able to make it along to any!

I have a lovely wee boy, age 19 months. I work full-time unfortunately so can't get along to toddler groups. OH works most weekends so DS and I are around then. I'm lucky enough not to work during school holidays so we are around then too.

My friends either have kids who are all quite a bit older (primary school and beyond) or no kids and a social pace that I can no longer join in with on a regular basis! Am keen for my son to make some friends a bit nearer his own age. Looks like he'll probably be an only child so am conscious that need to make the effort to help him socialise with other children. Would also be nice to chat to other mums.

We live in Queenspark but aren't averse to travelling. Up for meeting mums individually or in groups - whatever suits. :-)

Didn't want your post to go unnoticed.

I'm also Southside but my ds is much older than yours (he's 10 now).

Keep an eye out for meet-ups - while we are not that prolific, every so often the interest reaches a critical mass and we get organised! :)

Maybe try going to the glasshouse in the park and start a chat with a random Mum there. It is difficult to meet up with other mums at the weekend because that is most people's 'family time' or time Dcs spend with their dads.

Hi loueden

Queenspark at the glass house is a great place to meet other mums.. know at the weekends though it can sometimes just seem full of families so not that easy to just start chatting to others. I have been heading over that way for quite some time (live in the East) and do sometimes head over on a sat )work FT too) with other friends for coffee and pop along to the swing parks - if you want to drop me a pm I can let you know when might be there next.

Hi
I'm nearby to you, and have a girl who is 1 year, so a bit younger, but very friendly. If you'd like to meet up sometime we go to the Q Park cafe (don't we all?!) and the play park quite a bit.
:-)
