Baby Unicorns

Dear Mumsnetters,

I am moving to Cambridge from the US this summer and looking to find full-time childcare for my 6 month old and my 3 year old. Unfortunately it all needs to be arranged without me actually visiting the potential nurseries.

Baby Unicorns appears to be an option for the baby. Has any of you had any experience with this nursery?

Any advice would be much appreciated! Your collective wisdom has been truly awesome so far...

We used it, was v good. I liked that the group was very small and the staff were experienced and relatively mature. DS loved it and developed well there. But does it still only operate during the school terms?

FWIW I would seriously consider a nanny. The costs are likely to be similar to 2 nurseries and the logistics would be much, much easier for you. UK nannies are trained and qualified and they tend to have previously worked in nurseries. The nanny would take the DCs to toddler groups and preschool, so they'd get the social side too.

I would look into the nanny option as well as if you have to do 2 drops off in the morning Cambridge traffic is not fun - depends of course where you work/live

hmmm..., thank you so much both of you. A nanny hasn't crossed my mind, but you are right, it makes sense...
