Acupunture to induce labour?

I am due with DC2 TODAY!! But so far nothing seems imminent. I went 2 weeks overdue with DS1 and then was induced which I found a thoroughly traumatic experience...I'm eager not to be induced again this time and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good acupuncturist in the Richmond area who has experience of trying to induce labour? I know all about curry / pineapple / sex etc (none of which worked for me last time) but am keen to give acupuncture a go this time. Thanks in advance!

Not quite Richmond but if you're still waiting, then I can recommend Silvio Andrade in Putney, he treated me through my pregnancy in 2008/9 and did some labour inducing stuff at the end to help get things going. Hth!

Oh dear, I just saw your message - I am a birth doula, and I can't bear it when I hear women starting to feel pressure about induction. Frustrating thing is that a good 75 per cent of women go into labour absolutely naturally as long as you leave it right up to wwk 42 and a bit beyond. But by then of course they've already talked sweeps, booked induction dates, piled on the pressure so what chance do you stand. Here's hoping that it all went well...Natalie
