Waterbirth? Where?

any local moms who had a waterbirth? If so which hospital and how was your experience?

I have had two - one at the now closed Hemel Birthing Centre (fab place) and one at Watford hospital's ABC. Watford was fine but the midwife wasn't very helpful when I got frustrated with how long the birth was taking and my post-birth room was across from the nurse's station so very noisy with their chatting and very light under the door. Only minor stuff really, and I would definitely recommend waterbirths. HTH.

I had one at Edgeware Birth Centre when we lived in north London. Second time around, at the QEII in Welwyn, I got a room with the pool but DS 2 arrived so quickly there wasn't time to fill it up.

The pool did look nice though and worth a look around the QEII I'd say.
