Gym with decent creche?

Just wondering if anyone can recommend a Gym with good childcare/creche. We have recently moved back to Edinburgh after spending a couple of years overseas. When we left the council gyms still had creches but now it seems along with lots of other things they have all closed. I have just had a baby and have a DD who is 2. Am finding it hard settling back into life in Edinburgh and it would probably really help if I could get back into an exercise routine. Was spoilt when we were away as I joined a really friendly gym with an amazing creche that DD loved and was really cheap! Now I know that isn't going to happen here but can anyone recommend a Gym that has a good creche where DS and possibly DD could go whilst I did some exercise a couple of times a week? TIA

Our gym has a creche, it is Virgin Active at Fountainpark, David Lloyd has a creche as well.

Virgin active fountain park is where we go

Had friend whose children LOVED west woods creche

Hope you settle in soon, it's always weird moving, and with such young children must be extra hard

Thanks for the replies. I really like the look of Westwoods & the creche does sound good but the Virgin one is much nearer though I am just not so sure about the quality of the childcare? I will go and visit them both . And thanks Cristiane, it does just feel a little strange, I love Edinburgh but it is a very different place with two littlies in tow!

The ratios are good at Virgin, I haven't used the creche for a while as DS is 5, sometimes he wants to go in for half an hour but it's not the same level of care as it is for under 3s iyswim. Other thing at Virgins for kids is a little soft play in the corner of the cafe, bonus when they are 2-5 and you don't want them to go in the creche, but you do want to enjoy your coffee in peace. They also run extensive childrens swimming programmes.

Why don't you go along for a trial I'm sure they would be happy to introduce you to the creche staff and you can make your own mind up as you would probably be better with the closer option as more likely to use it that way!

Sorry I'm not paid by them or anything, just biased as its the club I use.

Totally, thanks rookie, I have given them a call and will go and have a look around, the soft play in cafe could swing it for us-DD is a BIG cafe fan Grin I have also been looking for swimming lessons for her but need DS to be looked after so that could work. Thanks for the info.

Westwoods was great when I was there, and have various open days too.
