Reception places next week

Anyone else waiting to hear about reception places next week?

Gosh it's that time of year already....good luck and hope you get your first choice!

Waiting for nursery (at ds' school) news. Do you know if that's this week too?

Not sure about nursery places - the web site should tell you . Am very upset as didn't get a school on my list or within walking distance and one of the worst schools in the Borough - fantastic . Thanks a lot Merton Council.

We got our third choice Gorringe but really want our first choice Cranmer. What do you plan to now - go on waiting lists? Appeal?

No basis for appeal so waiting list. Can't believe the situation of schooling here . When I was at school you just went to your local primary and that was that.

Have patience - the waiting lists do fluctuate a lot but you may be lucky.....

WP - do you know where you are on the waiting lists or have you been told that wait until the 19th for them to be released?

I wouldn't really pay much store by what they tell you about the waiting lists.... With families moving into/out of Borough all the time you can find you can go down before you go up....sadly until you are offered the place you need to fight the need to know where your child is on the lists!

Don't think waiting lists are actuall compiled until all replies are received and the second round offers are made. Then the work-out who's going where and what is left over.
