Hello Mums

I am new to mumsnet. Whats more I am a Dad, but I am sure people won't hold that against me. I have just moved back to barnes form the US with my 3 and a half year old daughter and I need some one (? a part-time nanny ? a childminder?) to for a couple of hours a day to take her in and pick her up from her pre-school (working mums in Mortlake)

anyone local know the best way to start looking?

Thanks

Netmums is good for local childcare listings. You could post an ad there yourself but I know there's at least one childminder from Barnes who advertises vacancies on there.

You could also contact the Family Information Service at Richmond Council - they have details of local childminders and sent an email out on my behalf with my requirements so I'm sure they could do the same for you.

no we won;t hold it against you that you are a Dad - most of our childrne have one! I say most because my DS doesn;t! If nata isn;t a solution I would say the quickest way would be to talk to the nursery manager or other paretns they often know of local CM's who already do pick-up/drop off.
