when to apply for schools??

My DS was born may 2008. I have been told to apply Jan 2012 by one mum and Nov 2011 by another. Does any one know which is correct?..if any!

If you go onto the KCC website, it will let you know the closing date for next year. But generally the forms become available in Nov and the closing date is in Jan - so both MUms are correct!

As Shivs says - the forms usually come out late autumn and the closing date is January.

Remember to tick the right boxes (I learnt that to my cost!!) - my DS2 is an April 08 baby too so will be applying later this year too.
