Hi Ladies,
Just wondering what your thoughts are on something that has arisen at my sons playgroup.
He started fairly recently and I think they give too many sweet things as one of the choices at snack time - they do also provide healthy stuff but there might be biscuits one day or "chocolate bar" according to my son or something like that. They had something every day for 2 weeks, which I think is way too much. Personally I don't think these things should be offered at all in childcare but others at the playgroup disagree. So they remain, and I can't seem to get a clear agreement on say, once or twice a week. They've agreed not every day.
This is really important issue to me, I don't want my son eating junk all the time and then I feel like I can't give him decent treats if he's had something at playgroup. Also I am being made to feel like I am the abnormal one because I think it's wrong to offer this stuff most days.
I feel I have two rubbish choices, either I accept this even though it goes against something very importnat to me or I change playgroup, which would not be great for my son, who doesn't settle that well.
Anybody else had an issue like this?
