Hello all mums in Maidstone. I am new to this board and am keen to meet some other mums in this area.....I was out in town yesterday and stopped for a coffee at Costa, where I overheard 2 mums talking about this site, and meet ups! Ok, so maybe I WAS eavesdropping, but I am very pleased I did, as it brought me here!!
I have a 7 mth old DS, and have given up my career to stay at home with him. Rewarding as it is, sometimes I feel like I am the only one in the world doing it.....or that real life is happening outside my house, without me!! Anyone else know what I mean...
Anyway, I would love to hear from anyone else who wants to make friends and meet other mums
Fingers crossed!!

I had 14 months off work with my baby and although it's not giving up work completely I still felt that it was a long time off and felt very secluded towards the end.

I found a good way to meet other mums is to go to lots of baby groups, what part of maidstone are you from?

Hi there,

I am from Allington at the minute, but we are moving to Penenden Heath in the middle of April. I have been to a couple of groups but always felt it was a bit unnatural!!Mostly as I talk 15 to the dozen haha!

Hi there everyone,

I am living in Maidstone and have set up a toddler soft play hire business and i am keeping it cheap and affordable for all you mums out there as i am a single mummy myself and know how tough it can be. I am offering a 10% discount on all parties booked in March for 2011 and in April we have some more special offers coming your way. I can supply mascots costumes and a guest appearance to attend your party, party bags, cup cakes and character cakes and all affordable. My equipment is cleaned after every party and is very safe. Take a look at the web site but it is under construction at the moment so all the mascots, cakes etc are not on there.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and i hope to be able to help any of you and provide your child with a wonderful fun party.

There's always childrens centres which run various stay and play groups which are generally free, or there are others which are privately run and tend to cost a couple of £'s (well worth it though!) There are a few near me in Loose which are privately run and the people are all very nice and welcoming.

Now that the weather seems to be getting a bit better maybe a meet up for a picnic in a park somewhere for all us maidstone "Desperate house mums" is in order??x :)

Check out the Meadows Childrens Centre, Furfield Close (off wallis ave) they do things on various days and they are free!!! Grin They run a 1st time parents group at molehill copse clinic (hereford road) which I went to and loved it but they only accept babies upto 9 months. It's worth checking with the centre though as I think they've recently changed the days around. Hope this helps, let us know how you get on!!
