commuting from colchester to london liverpool

Hi all, was just wondering if there is anyone here that leaves in colchester and commutes to london for work.
I will be relocating to colchester in june, but will have to commute to london 3 times a week and back.
I was hoping there is someone out there that does this or aware of it. Is it going to be hectic or how do you find the journey it self and are trains regular and on time.

DH commutes in. He says they are mostly ok, especially if you can travel out of peak times-although the trains arent as regular at those times.
He also says its expensive and on peak trains you are pretty squished in. When it goes wrong its difficult to get back but most delays are around ten minutes.

Its expensive but not terribly hard to get a seat, depending a bit on when you travel. The journey itself is fine really. I wouldn't go back to doing it but loads of people do, you'll be fine.
