i have always thought i looked grotty tbh and i am stunned that its #2 attraction
its just after springburn, but in possil, if you come off the dual carriage way at springburn from the town direction go left at the end of dual, head straight on until you go under a bridge and its the first left after that, if you reach the bingo you have gone too far, i know they have done that area up a little but i still think it spead way is grotty lol x

I quite fancy a visit here in summer and kids go free.

Yes I have been loads of times. Even when it was at the old Shawfield stadium. I know it is a grotty area but if you go early enough then you can pay to park in the walled football area that is locked once the racing is on.

Go to the website for more info.

Kids under 12 get in free too!

It's a great sport - family-friendly and exciting but maybe too down-to-earth for some of you. A lot of (shock) working class people follow speedway so it might not be suitable for some of you. And the stadium facilites are very basic you'll not get a skinny latte on site.

Not everyone shares your class-biased values. The city's full of economically deprived areas. People live in the area, right opposite and next to the stadium. Some even have cars and property in their homes and children, just like you, surprising as that may seem.

Geordieminx · 16/07/2011 20:20

That's a whole load of assumptions you are making there itma and one huge chip on your shoulder.

Took 2 boys and they loved it. Bought hooters and they could make as much noise as they wished.
