Was thinking of going to the education show this year. I work in education and have never been but was hoping to pick up some ideas for my daughter who is one.

However, I will have to go with her I thought that there would be plenty there to keep her entertained but am concerned about the train journey with the pushchair! are we also allowed to ask for a ramp? I do not want to get stuck :)I really do not fancy driving.

I've been going to the Ed Show for a few years, as my employer exhibits there. Am not sure if we're going this year as it's very nursery and primary focussed and we're more interested in secondary but it sounds like this is what you're after! The website has a list of exhibitors so you can see who'll be there, www.education-show.com/Education11/website/Home.aspx?refer=1&id=mainLnk1.

There are quite a lot of exhibitors with really lovely products like puppets, art and craft supplies etc but last year was dominated by charities and IT companies. You will also have to contend with hoards of teachers with wheely boxes! The weekend day, in the afternoon, is the quietest and some suppliers will do a deal on stuff they don't want to pack up and take back.

Not sure about the travel but maybe if you call the trainline, they can help?
