We are looking to move and are looking all around the Winchester area and a little beyond. Can anyone tell me what its like living in Chandlers Ford? Is it a family area? What are the people like? Is it a low crime area? We are considering it mainly because of the schools as we have 3 children and have read good things about Thornden and feel it would be a good fit for our son who is almost at secondary school age. I would be really grateful for any info.

Many thanks

Oh, yes. Perrins is good I hear.

Where I live, (Meonstoke), the village children who don't go to Private school go there. The infant school is used as a prep school. The nearby junior school, (Droxford) is also "outstanding", and there is a free school bus.

If you look around here it is very well conected to Pompey, S'ton & Fareham too.

Hi Queefer, I worked in the speech therapy dept there. I didn't know you worked at Flo Po!

Nice to see you back, OP Grin. Alresford is really nice, lovely little market town, nice boutiquey shops etc. Good mix of housing. Close to Winch but also not far from Basingstoke

Hi, first post so bear with me, just thinking of moving to droxford and can see queefer lives in meonstoke, which is local, can you tell me anything about the schools- meonstoke and droxford, also am I going to be totally isolated or is there lots to do with the kids? People keep telling me droxford is full of old people so I'm scared I won't be able to make friends!! Waa! Any advise or knowledge would be really helpful! Thanks
