Things to do on a Wednesday

Hi, I live in a village south of York and DD has just turned 2 (another one on the way due August). I work four days but am off on a Wednesday but can't find any toddler groups or activities that take place on a Wednesday. Would also like to use it as an opportunity to meet new friends as am feeling a bit isolated as originally from up north. can anyone help?

Can you travel in to York? If so there is a parent and babies/toddlers group at the Baptist Church on Priory Street. As you enter Priory street from Micklegate it's the first church on the right hand side. Ignore the first gate, go to the second and then in the side door. It's cheap - 50p per family, relaxed and people go with all ages of child from bump upwards. 10-11.30 with drinks and biscuits for parents and children. There are a lot of toys, a craft activity and singing at the end.
