Hi Hi,
We're fairly new to Wimbledon and coming from Australia have no idea on good reliable babysitters near Wimbledon Hill Road. DD is coming up on 14 months and my husband & I would love to go out on our own for an evening. Could anyone recommend a good babysitter please?

G'day, and welcome to Wimbledon.

Can't vouch for any myself, but you may find this useful: www.netmums.com/boards/childcare/

Sorry, not sure if that link took you straight to the Merton group - if not, you can search by area.

Hi,
We're fairly new to Wimbledon too (and I'm Australian too) and I've heard that Wimbledon nannies are good and reliable. I'm about to start looking for a babysitter too and the nanny of one of ds' friends recommended them.

They do one off babysitting I was told (weekends/weeknights).

www.wimbledonnannies.co.uk/aboutus.htm

This is the website (sorry I'm hopeless at linking)

Hope that helps!

thanks ladies,
I have looked at Wimbledon nannies, but you have to join and pay pay membership. Was hoping for something a little more personable. But will keep that in mind.

Yes, after I mentioned the site I had a good look at it too. Way too much for the membership. I'm back to square one too.

I'll let you know if I find out anything else.

Perhaps we can spot for each other Grin
mine is 14 months & you?

Unfortunately you'd have a much harder time with mine - they're 7 and almost 3!!

I'm following up on a couple of leads I've had from another mum at my son's school, but she said they're a couple of 18 year old girls. I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with that....... although if I get desperate enough..........

Are you enjoying Wimbledon? Are you doing any classes with your dd? I do gymboree and caterpillar music which my dd loves. I've met quite a few nannies at these classes, but they work until 6.30/7pm, so they're not after any extra work!

I do Gymboree at Jitterbugs and have just started swimming lessons..we've prob passed one another and not realized it. :)
Wimbledon is great, just not so impressed with big city living.. Too many bugs over winter. Perhaps we should meet for a coffee or something.I am a stay at home mum, so would be able to help you if you're stuck... My little one loves watching the bigger kids and it's all good experience I reckon.

I am also in Wimbledon, south park gdns area and have several reliable babysitters. I don't want to post their details here but f you msg me I'll be happy to pass on their details.

gottasmile · 07/03/2011 10:59

We probably have passed each other, I mostly walk everywhere.

I'd love to meet up for a coffee, which day would suit you? Mondays and Thursdays work best for me, but I can work around my daughter's classes on the other days.

Maybe we could meet at jitterbugs?

Let me know!

FebreezeYourJeans, can I msg you too?

Thanks!
