aww thank you, its lovely and so close to Williamwood but I'm afraid it is a little out of my budget. Maybe it will get cheaper? Thanks for your help, you have cheered me up a bit :)

I've printed out the forms for placing requests and think I can be cheeky and try East Renfrewshire and East Dunbartonshire because they are different councils, and we can just move to where ever she gets a place, if she gets a place. I'll need to phone as neither gives an option for a second choice of school.

I'm going to attach a letter to the forms, do you think it will help to tell them how great the school is, how great the area is and how great dd is?

I like that one seb. Maybe I'll need to compromise on having a garden and patio doors, but dd and dog are always outside and my door is always open it will be a big adjustment. I don't know it would be fair to them, they love their paddling pool and I love my bbq and having people over to eat outside in the summer. I don't think we would be happy in a flat. Am I being difficult?

I also found that one ( a few days later as i hadn't read this thread )

you can only put in a placing request for one school in each area, that's why there is no option for a second choice of school

but i dont think anyone checks if you have made placing request to another council

i don't think attaching a letter will make much difference TBH. AFAIK if you don't fit into one of the priority groups, all the placing request are dealt with on a lottery basis

if you think your DD is in one of these groups you need to put it on the form

i dont think you are being difficult not wanting a flat. but im sure you realise that flats are usually cheaper than houses, so you will have to look at less expensive streets / areas if you want a 2 bed house under 100K

i think there are ex coucil houses in Busby that might be cheaper, and they usually have good sizes of rooms
