Hi everyone,
I'm moving to Liverpool near the city centre in a couple of weeks time with my fiance and my daughter of 4 months, was wondering if there are any other mums in the area? I don't know anyone in Liverpool so would like to get in touch with anyone!! xxx

Hi, I have a 7 month old and live in south liverpool.
I have an group of friends that are starting to go back to work and I still have 5 months before I plan on going back to work. Where are you planning on moving to? When will you be in Liverpool? We could meet up for a coffee? X

Hi, I have an 8 week old and a 3 year old and also live in South Liverpool, (Aigburth). Sefton Park is nice for a coffee and a walk Smile

Hi! Well, we've just actually put the deposit down on an apartment, it's really close to the passport office if that helps? Really going in at the deep end to be honest as it's only my partner that knows his way around! I should be all moved in in a couple of weeks, would love to meet up somewhere where I know my way to and from where I'll be living! I could actually do with some help on navigating around the area haha xx

ooooo... a hop, skip and a jump from Starbucks. Sounds like my ideal location for a place to live!
Good luck on the move. Where are you coming from? Is it far?
Keep in touch and let us know when you're here and settled and we'll all try to get a meet up arranged.
I have a about to be two year old (Saturday, where did that time go?) DD.
Take care

Whereabouts are you from then? I'm coming from Stoke in Staffordshire, do you know it? I'll keep posting on this thread as I am crap with the whole forum thing! I've only really managed to get 5 minutes on here because Liverpool are on the telly and I can't be bothered to watch them! Would be good get a few of us to meet up, I haven't been out of the house on my own without my daughter yet! Hope your little one has a fab birthday, speak soon! x

This all sounds exciting, you'll have everything on your doorstep!! I agree that Sefton park is great for walk and a coffee, but so is Liverpool one! Good luck for moving day! X

LauraDudleyHulme · 25/02/2011 16:53

Ok well you'll all have to help me with directions and stuff like that because I still don't even know my postcode - I know, I'm really disorganised! Thanks, I hope it all goes smoothly but as ever, nothing ever does! xx

I think if you're by the passport office then that must be in the city centre? I have a cousin in Stoke :o) Anyway, john lewis cafe in Liverpool 1 is fab for meeting up with kids, really caters to families and has great facilities, although not cheap! There's also plenty of starbucks and costas! Keep us posted when you move etc :o) xx

My postcode is L3, that's all I can really remember! I've left all the navigation to him, although probably not the best of ideas as he is sometimes as dizzy as me! The whole process of moving in has hit a glitch! Incredibly annoyed as it is to do with my current landlady being a total sod, she's not happy she can't find a new tenant to take over us quick enough so she hasn't given the estate agents a reference for us yet! And now as she's waited so long, she wants another month's rent off us! Usually I'd tell someone like that to p* off, but we need her reference and it's giving me a crap night's sleep as I'm full of worry. So, not the best of week's so far, but we'll find a way around! xx

L3 is right in the city centre, near the Liver Building and Town Hall. Near where I work actually!

Hope you have got things sorted with landlady.

Keep us posted Smile
