Does anyone know or have any experience of northbridge NW3 or heathside prep? I like both for different reasons. The lack of space at heathside is main aspect that concerns me but staff seem lovely.

Does anyone have any feedback on The Village School or St Mary's RC Hamsptead?

Both my son and daughter have attended North Bridge and we have been happy with the school. Caring staff, high academic standards, happy children. Children go on to do well at secondary level from what I have observed. But if you are worried about outside space this is an issue at the Gloucester Avenue prep school where the playground is tiny and the kids are restricted at break. Though the kids go to Regents Park there isn't much time left to play once they traipse out and back. The sports master is enthusiastic and popular however and tries to make up for it with holiday sports courses off-site.

My son has just started at Heathside, and I am very pleased with the progress he has made. The smaller class sizes are ideal, and the staff are lovely. The lack of space is a downside, but the close proximity to the heath, and the use of local resources really do make up for this.

Not sure what age your children are, but fora Pre prep I recommend Hampstead Hill School. I have two children there, 5 and nearly 3. Both very happy and loving it. If you are looking for a caring, nurturing environment and a school that really gets results, this is it.

Add me to the Hampstead Hill fan club! All 3 of my DCs went and loved it. Got into great schools (well advised ). Came out super confident. Lovely outdoor space. Excellent afterschool care- great if you work as super flexible. No down side whatsoever.
