Babysitting circle anyone?

Hi mums,
Sometime ago I read a post on mumsnet about creating a 'babysitting circle' (in the Hackney area) whereby parents would get to know each other and the children, and then once comfortable with each other, they would exchange baby sitting time.
We find this idea mindful and inspiring.
Is anyone of you already taking part in a circle like that or else interested in participating in it ?
If so, please get in touch and we can have a chat all together about it.
My email is [email protected]
Looking forward to hearing back from you!
Rose

I'd be involved, I think. That is as soon as I feel I can leave the baby with a babysitter! Will be in touch very soon.

Hi! yes yesterday I read your message, you are based in Stamford hill? Well, I think it is a very nice super child-freindly area where you are living now with plenty of free children centres and playgroups, including a really nice one in a cottage inside Clissold Park (it's called the "one of clock club" and it's open almost everyday 1 to 4 pm). For swimming there is Clissold leisure centre with toddlers pools and many other activities for babies, including a creche where you can leave your baby for a couple of hours while you do your own activity in the centre...
as per babysitting, I understand you in fact the first time I left my little one she was 9 months +, and it took me a while to do that step although after doing it I felt so much released from anxiety...! She had a great time without me too :) !
Take care and yes keep in touch when you feel ready
